Review: Skechers GOrun Ultra
A top maker of casual and lifestyle shoes, Skechers has jumped into the forever-growing athletic/running market with its GOrun series — recently endorsed by Meb Keflezighi. I’d been hearing a lot of buzz about these shoes, and my reaction was, “If it’s good enough for Meb, it’s good enough for me!”
But, alas, you don’t really know a shoe until you take it for a ride. After a number of test runs, including a 50-miler on fairly technical terrain, here are my thoughts on the Skechers GOrun Ultra.

I too was initially impressed with my Go Run Ultras, but after not even 100 miles I found that the shoes were wearing unevenly and at an alarming rate. There are a lot of reviews of the shoe popping up and most are giving it thumbs-up reviews, but those same reviews are only after one or two wearings. The nitty-gritty on this shoe says it needs a substantial update to make it more durable in out and mid-sole. I certainly find it comfortable but do prefer a ride with more road feel. I run mostly roads and unlike the post author, find that I size DOWN half a size with Skechers and prefer their narrow-ish fit.
