Meet Lisa Kennedy

Mother, pediatric physical therapist, and ultrarunner with a heart full of grit and a soul built for community.

Since lacing up her shoes in middle school back in 1994, Lisa’s journey has been one of steady miles and powerful momentum. She
jumped into the world of ultrarunning with her first 53K at Rockin’ Rockwoods in 2021, and she hasn’t looked back.

Lisa joined Terrain Trail Runners-STL in April 2021, she’s become a cornerstone of the community: organizing group runs, mentoring new athletes -- especially women and giving back through trail work and volunteerism.

In 2025, Lisa turned her vision into reality by launching the Ozark Foothills Kids Fun Run, a free 1-mile trail event created to spark confidence and curiosity in young runners.

With the mission to make trail running more accessible, fun, and empowering for the next generation.
Whether she’s cheering at an aid station or guiding with compassion on the trails, Lisa's authenticity, perseverance, and ability to lift others continues to shine.

Meet Rob Swanson

Rob has been a member of Terrain Trail Runners - STL since 2019, Rob brings a rare combination of free-spirited energy and meticulous focus to everything he touches. With a keen eye for detail and a heart for service, he plays a pivotal role in coordinating volunteer initiatives and logistics for the Ozark Foothills Endurance Run to help ensure the event runs smoothly.

Rob’s journey as a runner began in 1996 during his time in the military, where he first discovered the power of endurance and discipline.

He took his running to the next level, tackling the Go St. Louis Marathon on his 40th birthday and following it up with his first 50 miler in 2018. Since then, he’s continued to inspire others with his dedication to pushing personal limits on and off the trail.

When he’s not trail blazing and giving back to the community, Rob works as a Siding Coordinator and Office Manager at J & J Siding and Window Sales, where his organizational skills and work ethic shine just as brightly as they do on race day.
