COURSE DESCRIPTION

Bluff View Shuffle 10K
Approximate Elevation Gain: 100 feet per mile

The course begins at the top of Bluff View Park. Runners will drop down from the bluff to the Zombie West Connector Trail and follow it all the way out to Zombie Road for the turnaround. After the turnaround, runners will return toward the bluff via the Bluff View Trail, climbing back to the top, finishing where they started.

Eagle Valley Scramble 10K
Approximate Elevation Gain: 130 feet per mile

The course begins at Greensfelder County Park at the Mustang Shelter. Runners will drop down from the shelter via the Eagle Valley Trail, passing the equestrian jumps and climbing up to the Scenic Overlook. From there, the route follows the Scenic Overlook Trail to the top at Beulah Shelter. From Beulah Shelter, runners will take the Beulah Connector Trail to Fossil Ridge Trail and run the one‑mile Fossil Ridge loop counterclockwise before reconnecting with the Beulah Connector and returning once more to Beulah Shelter. At the yellow gate, runners will continue straight at the trail confluence onto the Beulah Trail/Beulah Connector, descending back toward the equestrian jumps. They will then climb the Eagle Valley Trail back to the Mustang Shelter, finishing where they started.

Chubb Crawl 10K
Approximate Elevation Gain: 200 feet per mile

The course begins at the top of the Chubb Trail – West Tyson trailhead/parking lot. Runners will head up the Chubb Trail to the picnic table. From there, they will take the Spur Trail to reconnect with the Chubb Trail and continue out to the train tracks turnaround. After the turnaround, runners return to the picnic table via the Chubb Trail and Spur Trail. Passing the picnic table, the course continues onto the full length of the Flint Quarry Trail, which descends to the road.
Runners will then make a left onto the Chinkapin Trail and run it clockwise. After completing Chinkapin and returning to the road, runners will follow the road back up to the Chubb West Tyson trailhead, finishing where they started.

*The course for all three 10K races will challenge even the more seasoned trail runners amongst us! The terrain for all three 10K races ranges from rolling to steep grade hills, rocks, roots and creek crossings that will make for some technical trail running and adding to the challenge will be running the trails at night.
