COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Dark 2 Dawn 10K, six-hour and nine hours timed ultra are simultaneous trail races held at the scenic Indian Camp Creek Park in St. Charles County. Each race takes place on a 6.7-ish mile loop route featuring a combination of open-field crossings and wooded single track, consisting mainly of dirt with a bit of rock mixed in. The terrain is flat to rolling hills. The 10K is one loop, six-hour and 9 hours timed option challenges you to knock down as many loops as you have in you in the given time frame.
Start/Finish at ICCP boy scout camping area/shelter.
** Please be aware that this is a trail race and the mileage for the loop/course is approximate; you may end up running a little over than the suggested 10K per loop. NO WIMPS AND NO WHINING!

General Dark 2 Dawn race specific information:
PACKET PICKUP, START TIME AND BIB ASSIGNEMENT
Bibs will be assigned for all registered runners after June 18, 2023, when the online race registration closes on UltraSignup and will be followed by the final race day email.
The start time for the 10K and 9 hours timed distances will be at 9PM on Saturday, June 24, 2023, and the start time for 6 hours timed distance will be 12:01 a.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Check-in/packet pickup will begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Pick up your race packet, pitch a tent and hangout until it's go time!
AID STATIONS
There will be ONE aid station at the start/finish that will be supplied with water, electrolyte drinks, gels, snacks, first aid and enthusiastic volunteers! Restrooms will be available at the start/finish. Everyone must run with a handheld or hydration vest.
Headlamp is no optional!
DROP BAGS
Drop bags for ALL distances can be left at the start/finish and runners will have access to their drop bags after each loop.
CREW ACCESS AND PACERS
There will be no unofficial runners. *Pacers are not allowed*
Crew/Family is ONLY allowed at start/finish. Runners receiving aid outside of the start/finish will be disqualified.
POST-RACE
Grab-n-go snack for all registered participants.

AWARDS
Awards will be given for the first overall male and female finisher ONLY for the 10K, 6 hours and 9 hours timed events based on the number of loops finished and the time in which they were completed.
All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal based on the number of loops completed within the timed events.
6 Hours - 20.1 Miles - 3 Loops
9 Hours - 26.8 - 4 Loops
*50K Mashup runners MUST complete 5 loops to count towards their series races.
**All medals and awards need to picked up by the runners as they finish. We will not be mailing your swag, medals and/or awards**
CUT-OFF TIMES
10K and 9 Hours Timed events is Nine Hours and 6 Hours Timed event is Six Hours. All distances participants MUST start their final loop by 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 25, 2023. All distance/timed event participants MUST be off the course and finish at 6:00AM on Sunday, June 25.
SWITCHING RACES/RACE DAY DISTANCE CHANGES
You may switch between the two events (9 Hours, 6 Hours and/or 10K) plus the difference in entry fee at the time of the switch. If you are already signed up for one race and want to switch to the other, you may do so on UltraSignup before June 14, 2023, provided the race you are switching to has not reached its capacity.
Distance switch can be completed by simply logging on to your UltraSignup Account - Registration History - Edit. NO NEED TO CONTACT US!
If you have further questions on this, please don't hesitate to shoot us an email. If you have already paid more than the current price of the event you are switching to, you will not receive a refund. However, you will owe no additional costs. If you have paid less than the current entry fee of the event you are switching to, you will owe the difference in what you have paid.
**Race day drop downs are not allowed**
If you fail to finish the distance you are signed up to run then you are not eligible for an official time, medals/awards and age ranks and your race results will reflect a DNF (Did Not Finish)
