Terrain Trail Runners-STL is St. Louis, Missouri’s ONLY women-owned and women-lead trail/ultra-running group/small business. We’ve been building and growing the local area trail/ultra-running community for a decade now, and a part of our mission is to diversify the sport of trail/ultra-running, create safe, inclusive and diverse spaces for female athletes in the hopes to level the playing field in this sport of Ultra-Running.

In the spirit of empowering female athletes, we are excited to launch the Run Your First Trail Ultra-Marathon Challenge! As part of this program, we will be accepting applications from all female athletes that would like to dip their toes into the ultra-running world and take on the challenge of running their first and hopefully not the last trail ultra-marathon.

Run Your First Trail Ultra-Marathon Challenge Details

- We will be accepting applications from all female athletes of all abilities to take on Rockin’ Rockwoods 53K as their first trail ultra-marathon starting on Monday, April 15 - May 15, 2024.

- We will select three female athletes and announce the participants on Monday, May 20, 2024

- If an athlete is selected to participate in the Run Your First Trail Ultra-Marathon Challenge you will receive a 20% discount towards your race registration for the Rockin’ Rockwoods 53K trail race scheduled for Saturday, September 14, 2024, and a guaranteed spot to participate in this event.

- As part of this program you will have access to FREE one on one coaching and training plan customized by Shalini Bhajjan.

Shalini is the founder/race director for all things Terrain Trail Runners-STL and has been an ultra-running coach since 2018. Shalini’s race results can be viewed on UltraSignup.

Application Period: April 15 - May 15, 2024 

Participants will be announced on Monday, May 20, 2024, and we will notify only the selected participants via email.
