Thunder Chicken 21-ish Mi - $130 *CASH ONLY* Race day/onsite registration for Stage 1 will begin at 6AM on Friday, May 15, 2026! *Included in your RACE DAY REGISTRATION *Swag Subject to Availability Custom Finisher Medal Post-Race Snack and Beer! START TIME, TIME LIMIT & CHECK IN Friday, May 15, 2026 Start Time: 7AM Cutoff time - 8 Hours Other strictly enforced cut‑off times include: Aid Station Cutoff - 4 Hours All Stage 1 runners must be checked OUT of the aid station at Fox Creek Aid Station - 10.7Mi prior to 11:00 AM on their way back to the start/finish. Please note: Runners who do not meet the listed aid‑station cut‑off time will not be permitted to continue on the course. |
Stage 1 - 21-ish Mi - Tour de Rockwoods Range
Stage 1 features a demanding out‑and‑back route linking the scenic trail systems of Greensfelder Park and Rockwoods Range. Beginning on the Beulah Trail, runners will traverse the Fossil Ridge and Deer Run Trails before crossing into Rockwoods Range to take on the Roundhouse, Spur, Green Rock, and Fox Run Trails.
With approximately 2,650 feet of cumulative elevation gain, this stage delivers a true test of endurance and technical skill. The terrain varies from steep grades to flowing, rolling hills, with plenty of rocks, roots, and creek crossings to keep runners alert and engaged. The combination of rugged footing and sustained climbing makes Stage 1 a challenging and rewarding introduction to the course.

START TIME, TIME LIMIT & CHECK IN Saturday, May 16, 2026 Start Time: 7AM Cutoff time - 9 Hours Other strictly enforced cut‑off times include: Aid Station Cutoff - 6.5 Hours All Stage 2 runners must be checked OUT of the aid station at Rockwoods Reservation Aid Station - 17.8Mi prior to 1:30 PM on their way back to the start/finish. Please note: Runners who do not meet the listed aid‑station cut‑off time will not be permitted to continue on the course. |
Stage - 2 - 26-ish Mi - Tour de Rockwoods Reservation
Stage 2 delivers a rugged out‑and‑back challenge that covers the full length of the Beulah Trail before linking the flats to the Green Rock Trail, Rock Quarry Trail, and a brief paved stretch of the Trail Amongst Trees. From there, runners connect to the Lime Kiln Trail Loop—tackled clockwise—before retracing their steps back to the finish.
This stage is a stout trail marathon in every sense. The route blends smooth, flowing singletrack with some of the steepest, most demanding climbs in Rockwoods Reservation. Expect technical footing, abundant rocks and roots, and terrain that demands constant focus. With a cumulative elevation gain of 4,150 feet, Stage 2 earns its reputation:

Stage 3 highlights some of the finest singletrack flow that Greensfelder County Park is known for. The route links DeClue, Dogwood, and Deer Run before crossing onto Eagle Valley and ultimately climbing the Scenic Overlook Trail back toward the Beulah Shelter. And just when you think you’re cruising home, the final climb delivers a spicy sting—340 feet of elevation gain before you can ease into the finish.

Stage 2 - Aid Station will be at 8.6 Miles outbound and 17.8 Miles inbound (runners will be utilizing this same aid station both outbound and inbound). This will be a fully supported aid station!
Water Drop at 5.7 Miles outbound and 20.7 Miles inbound.

Runners and their crew are encouraged to PLEASE bring their own (non-disposable) plate and utensils to help reduce the trash from our events.

Greensfelder County State Park has tent camping, RV hook-up and showers available. For more information and to make reservation visit the parks website or call St. Louis County Parks at 314-615-4386
There's lodging around Six Flags. Other than that closest town to search for lodging would be Wildwood, Ballwin, Fenton, Chesterfield and or Ellisville.
