*NEW* 10K COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Wildwood Trail F.L.A.T. Out Tenkay begins on the paved Hamilton–Carr Trail, which leads runners to the chat‑surfaced Al Foster Memorial Trail. Once on the Al Foster Memorial Trail, 10K runners continue straight on the crushed‑gravel path, following the Mighty Meramec River to the Sherman Beach Trailhead. After checking in with the aid station at Sherman Beach, runners return along the Al Foster Memorial Trail and Hamilton–Carr Trail to finish the 10K at LaSalle Springs Middle School.
The course is an out‑and‑back route, combining paved and crushed‑gravel surfaces—approximately 3 miles out and 3 miles back. This design makes the course ideal for both runners chasing a fast 10K PR and beginners or kids looking for a friendly, approachable introduction to trail running. The route offers a scenic trail experience without technical terrain, rocks, or roots to navigate.
